Interesting. So MUFON is hoping for the real thing and taking it at face value. A lot of the UFO groups and chasers in the media are the same way. I have seen a few websites that deal primarily with the topic of the Bile and UFOs, and one of them does talk about how you can stop an abduction by praying, or commanding them to stop in Jesus name. That was always interesting to me. Since I haven't been in church a lot recently and have been researching the alternatives, if you will, I keep coming across these odd validations, and it makes me wonder.

I like your comment about them changing the place of their origin as scientific knowledge grows to debunk them. More to talk about, no time now, rats!

Ha ha, good one Bob. Found that book reference; Mystery of the Men In Black by Timothy Green. The "other dimension" idea is interesting to me too. My research has lead me to a place where I realized that I wanted to find out, as I call it, "the nature of our reality". Is it multidimensional? We reside in the dimension that we percieve. The ghost shows tell us that there is another dimension inhabited by spirits human and non-human, or inhuman as they sometimes say. That leaves the UFOs and Bigfoot. Maybe they're coming from a third dimension? I've seen a video on YouTube (aren't they all?) about a former Area 51 worker who talked about some of the things that the government knew about, one of them being the existance of "other dimensions". They are layered like blankets and they know of at least two up and two down. I thought that was interesting.

I hope this isn't covering old territory, but was wondering what you thought of a couple of bombshell ideas: 1) Jesus never really existed, he was just a populaized idea to help the Jews cope against the Romans, and 2) the Romans made up the Christian religion, and Jesus, to keep the population, sort of, subdued, or easily controlled. Theory One is more homegrown if you will, where Jesus is a mythic figure based on legend and OT prophecy. Theory Two is more pro-active on the part of the ruling class at the timeto, like I said, keep the population subdued.

Yes, that gave me a chuckle. Read throught the first two pages of this thread and the last two. What I read is very interesting, of course I missed a lot. There's a lot going on that is curious, to say the least. Being a Conspiracy Theorist, or at least one following those ideas, is helpful. Wondering how today's current events fit in with Biblical Prophecy is a good exercise in controlled paranoia. Maybe not everything will happen as "detailed" in the Bible. Like any prophecy is "detailed". But keeping one's head to the ground is good, as long as one knows when to get up and run out of the way of the stampede.

Hi, I recently found out I really had ancestors from Ireland, but can't speak or understand a word of it (too American y'know). Anyways, have been watching GhostHunters for several years and GhostHunters International, lots of strange stuff over there. Ultimate Haunted Ierland should be interesting. Will be looking forward to seeing it. BTW, "cut my teeth" on Most Haunted, that was a fun one, it had its moments. Best wishes to you fintan!

Coming from an evangelical background, I have heard that, generally, that alien activity are demons masqarading as aliens. This is to mislead the people of the world, as well as the believers in Christ. Now, I haven't been an evangelical, or in the church community for about 6 years, so I have been researching aliens and the paranormal most of this time. I have come across one reference that coraborated that idea, that aliens were "spiritual" in nature, and not purely alien - genuine beings from another star system. The MIB: Men In Black, one author talks about them going around a corner and disappearing, like 'poof'. There are two authors that wrote books about the MIBs: Nick Redfern is one. There is an earlier one, and I can't recall his name now, but his book is the first MIB book that I know of that brings up that idea. I'll get that out in another post...sorry.
