Saranac Lake, now a scenic town in the Adirondacks, was once the premiere destination for patients suffering from tuberculosis.These deceased patients are still observed today. Many of the former cure cottages are reported to be haunted.

Happy Valley was a bustling village just north of the larger city of Syracuse. Legend states that during 1930′s, the entire village was wiped out by a plague, leaving empty shells of the community behind.
