I had the opportunity to watch the two-hour scripted fictional feature The Cannibal in the Jungle on Animal Planet this past Sunday. Personally, I thought the overall presentation was entertaining and imaginative. It brought together the 2003 discovery of Homo floresiensis 'Flores Man' and the local Ebu Gogo legend...a being that the Flores islanders believe to be real. The show went a step further and created a fictional story where Homo floresiensis had survived and evolved during the past 12,000 years into murderous cannibalistic beings. Despite the fictional story, it many not be beyond the possibility that a breeding population hairy hominids may exist in the foreboding jungles of Flores. So what's the story of the beings known as Ebu Gogo?

"Ghost Adventures" host Zak Bagans announced on Thursday that his documentary film "The Demon House" will be completed this month. The haunted house in Gary, Indiana was reported to be plagued with hundreds of demons. The film is scheduled to be released in the fall.
Fox confirmed yesterday that they're bring back the popular "X-Files" paranormal series. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will reprise their roles as FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, with the series going into production starting as early as June, and the series returning as a 6-part miniseries in 2016.
"Ghost Hunters International" star Robb Demarest is coming back to the US with his new "Haunting: Australia" series. The premiere airs tomorrow night on the Syfy channel.
