This Experience Share | puremantra posted:10/7/2011 8:13:26 PM Hello I'm new to this site and though I'm very much an explorer in such with astral projection. I had an event last night that is wonderful and abit troubling.I woke up in my bed at 12:00 A.M.Sat up and streached. I took a drink of water that I leave on the side of my bed everynight.Stood up and walked down my creeking stairs, from my bedroom. (My house is 85 years old, so it has its autumn moments.)Sat down on my couch and then it happen. It was like my eyes opened up though my eyes where already open.I felt extremely out of it and even though I knew my surroundings, I had no idea how to explain to myself what happened. There was a black spot in my view and I just couldn't bring myself to focus.I stood up and walked upstairs and laid back down into to bed. I looked to my wife and woke her up and asked her about what time I had went to bed.She had told that I had fallen to sleep on the couch downstairs and she tried to wake me up three times. ( I wake at 4:30 A.M. to go to work.) She couldn't wake me up and went to bed.So none the less here I am.Excited for the next experience, though anxious.Take care._K Atzantiel posted:10/10/2011 1:17:26 AM Do you have any history of sleep walking or sleep deprivation or fatuiged more than usual? wavygravy7 posted:10/15/2011 3:19:21 AM I would have to have more details but it's sounds like it could be medical. If it happens again I would go get looked at by a doctor to rule that out.puremantra posted:10/17/2011 5:57:16 PM In Reply To:wavygravy7 posted:10/15/2011 3:19:21 AM I would have to have more details but it's sounds like it could be medical. If it happens again I would go get looked at by a doctor to rule that out.So sorry that it has taken me so long to respond to my post. I've never been through this before, and to the respond from wavygravy27, it wasn't like I was drunk or on anything. I woke up in my bed and took a drink if water and went down stairs and sat down on my couch. The second I sat down it was like my eyes opened but they were open. I could see just fine in the dark. Also after waking my wife up when I went back upstairs, I had asked her "what time had I fallen to sleep in bed?" her reply was "you fell asleep downstairs on the couch and you just came up to bed."I know it could've been medical though I've never had slept walked and I pay attention to my health to some level.I'm just feeling abit lost because I myself havn't been through this before.I started thinking that it might be from the excersises I've been doing to astral project. Is it possible that I've preformed it correctly and this is the result of my excersises plus meditation.I was hoping to find something here on this site because I've been here for sometime, though not posting anything.I'm just feeling that there is something more to this, because I had an eye exam today and said something to the eye doctor and they found nothing.I here to listen.JOSMAN087 posted:10/18/2011 7:19:21 AM i have had dreams like this, where i thought i was doing my normal routine but turned out i was still asleep. Lucid dreams are like that when u realize its a dream u wll remember it for a long time.landon posted:10/18/2011 2:07:55 PM i used to have dreams where i would wake up and i wouldn't be able to move my body. my intire being , and i say being cuz it felt internal and external at the same time, felt that od sensation you get when you yawn mixed with the feeling you get when your leg falls asleep. as i said i wouldnt be able to move just look around and then i would fall back asleep ...one time this happend to me all day long. this stopped happening to me but i still have never understood what was happening to meLincolnGenghis posted:10/19/2011 5:15:15 PM You should look up sleep paralysis. Its kind of the opposite of sleep walking. There is a disconnect that is suppose to happen when people go to sleep.Your body is suppose to go into kind of a form of paralysis when you are deep asleep dreaming, its a safety feature that is suppose to be built into most of us. The easiest way to kind of explain sleep paralysis is that it is kind of a glitch. you wake up while your body is for lack of a better term still offline. In sleep walking which is a hell of allot more dangerous that disconnect did not happen and your body can move while you are sound asleep. I never had sleep paralysis before but I think that is because I fall into the sleep walking catagory. The sleep paralysis does scare the crap out of prople when it happens because they don't know whats going on and they can't move.landon posted:10/20/2011 1:47:27 PM hey thanks!!! it stopped as i said but i always pinnind it as astral projection or something.. looks like i was far off the mark. :) LincolnGenghis posted:10/20/2011 3:41:31 PM Well I think if you talk to some of the people here that get into meditation, OBEs, astral projection (Not really my thing) they might tell you that being able to control that connect/disconnect is sort a componant of astral projection. I think, at least from what little I understand about it. I know Jeff has written quite a bit aboout the subject so you might want to check out some of the articles he has written on the site. He also has a book available that looks interesting, I have not had a chance to read it yet but it is on my to do list. Please log in or become a member to add a post.
