Mankind cannot KNOW if the Bible is the word of God - we can believe that if we choose. My study of comparitive religion and the texts that support traditional & non-traditional faiths has confirmed my understanding that all texts contain "logical flaws". Are we to accept the written word literally or is it more appropriate to "read between the lines". Subjectivity Vs objectivity. In my humble opinion, within the context of all religious texts, we would achieve more if we "lived" by the general rules, rather than waste time debating the origin and authenticity of the writings

Interesting concepts & ideals. Whilst reading Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein" came to mind.Of course we all have the ability to create the material from the subliminal. We all have the ability to "slay" demons with our thoughts. Existence is based on balance, inbalance results in catastrophe. Science denies the masses the ability to question & taste the properties of existence by supporting basic misleading tenets concerning the universe. Look to the scientists  - it is those that control our thought processes

Interpretation, governed by our perspective and our social environment effects everything we read and absorbOne known fact is that many ancient civilisations relied on their "reading" and "observation" of the planets to guide them through their daily tasks. I imagine reading ones horoscope can be used in this way. Whether this is a worthwhile act is another matter!
