Recent Public Comments Forum: Can anyone explain this?Posted:7/3/2011 1:38:20 AMweird. I would have assumed it was ball lightning, but it doesn't look much like any supposed pictures of it on google images. It could still just be some sort of ball lightning though I suppose. People photograph weird objects and get photographical artifacts during thunderstorms all the time, most of them go unexplained.Forum: Paranormal? Revolving door tries to kill man.Posted:6/30/2011 6:07:40 AMThere is a small amount of space between the walls of the "chamber" and the doors, allowing them to pass through without grinding the walls. There is no way there was a pressure buildup, as it isn't airtight at any point. It looked more to me like the mechanism itself had a mechanical failure and sent one door backward while the rest were simply sped up. Then again, it could have been a strong gust of wind just hitting the door. My only problem with that, is that the door that swung backwards hitting the guy wasn't the one facing outside. It hadn't reached that point yet.Anyone googled to see if anything like this has happened before?Forum: Have Video/Photo evidence of the Paranormal?Posted:6/21/2011 10:05:53 PMThis is really a good way to go about it. 90% of the videos on Fact or Faked are obviously cgi but they go ahead and research them anyway for entertainment purposes. I would love to see some actual paranormal footage on there at some point. Good luck and I hope you find some nice videos/stories here.Forum: Any thoughts?Posted:6/9/2011 8:57:31 PMIf her death left you mentally scared, you could very well be doing it to yourself and not realize it. Perhaps you are having lapses in memory? I would just see what course of action the psychiatrists prescribes first.Forum: Has anyone seen this?Posted:6/2/2011 4:08:12 AMI saw it before it was deleted. Interesting. You should have forced them to go look at the nest. If you think it's related they should have been able to spare a minute to look at it.Forum: Has anyone seen this?Posted:5/31/2011 11:43:49 PMAbout 2 days later, made any progress? Got any friends to go see the nest or got any pictures yet?Forum: Has anyone seen this?Posted:5/30/2011 4:01:31 PMYes even a photo of the nest could help. Don't know why I didn't think to ask for that.Just go out right now and snap a picture or two of the nest. Just get close enough to see the black staining of it. If you see it out there at that point try to get a picture of it as well. Good luck.Forum: Has anyone seen this?Posted:5/30/2011 2:00:48 PMSo are you saying that it is definetly a bat of some sort now???????? - There is literally no known flying animal of that size in the United States. This is the bird with one of the largest wingspans in the world. Maribou stork. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marabou_Stork But this bird is only found in Africa. - As far as bats go, the largest wingspan is around 6ft and that's on the Large Flying Fox (pteropus vampyra). This bat is extremely endangered and is only found on certain Asian islands. The heaviest is the golden giant crowned fruit bat, weighing about 3 pounds with a 5ft wingspan. This bat is also endangered and is only found in the Phillepines.== - Try to find a list of all the bats in Colorado and see if it matches up with any of them. Here is a list of all bird species found in Colorado, look through some of the larger ones and see if there is anything that matchs up or looks similar. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_birds_of_Colorado The most important thing you can do is get a picture of it. Spend all day out there if you have to. Wouldn't you love to be the discover of a new species? Forum: Has anyone seen this?Posted:5/30/2011 12:22:49 PMBat flight is weird especially if you aren't used to seeing them all the time. However the Flying Fox bat doesn't have a horse-shaped head. Looking at some pictures of them, they do get into a triangular pose in flight though. This type of bat is probably big enough to be the creature you are seeing though. These are only found in Australia though. The united states doesn't have "any natural Large bats". In quotation marks because we obviously do have large bats, they just aren't recognized by science. Keep at it and get a picture or video. Forum: Has anyone seen this?Posted:5/30/2011 1:02:32 AMI also just found out that black "droppings" from birds generally means that the bird is ill. This could also collaborate the fact that it could just be a deformed/sickly type of bird.Could you guess at the wing span?
