I have felt a little bitter about the aging process. I have observed many times, how the elders in our society are made fun of, disregarded, and disrespected. I also wonder what is supposed to be so fulfilling about watching my body slowly disintegrate, like a sinking Titanic? What, of value, is to be learned by becoming increasingly helpless and dependent upon others, who may or may not care?
