What this means is that they attempt to remain consistent in some fashion by following a certain set of ideals or ritualized patterns, and this geometrizes those ideals, expressing their spiritual forms on the material plane.

Upon Which I See The Magic Box

I'm not sure how many people have experienced this, but I doubt I'm the only one. If you accept the fact that you can receive messages from the universe in the form of 'meaning' which doesn't seem to be too difficult of a proposition when you take into account 'coincidence' and take into account things actually do have meaning and aren't entirely random, then it isn't a stretch of the imagination to assume that you can spend some days in a state where just about everything that happens to you is a coincidence and everything has meaning. This has happened to me numerous times and I can't help but give it a name: Magic Box Syndrome.

Book Review: In The Light

The story did inspire a small amount of anxiety while reading. The well-related detail concerning the first-hand viewpoint suffered by the author throughout his ordeal made this reading entirely worthwhile from a dramatic perspective, if nothing else. But there is much to take away and consider, here. When taken in conjunction with other writings which also detail near-death experiences, it is ever clearer to me that there is an undeniable, yet anonymous, force of intelligence that belies each and every one of us, collectively, and individually. It is a governing, 'God-like', intelligence that otherwise facilitates the illusion that is our reality, and makes our lives possible.

The Problem With Life And Why We Should Not Fear Death

Death is not the problem. The 3-dimensional blocks which revolve around you keep you in your place and are, for all intents and purposes, your reality. You have full ability to move those particles around into other colorful sequences, but you are still a captive.

Book Review: Chopin and Beyond

Chopin and Beyond -- My Extraordinary Life in Music and the Paranormal, is an autobiography detailing the rich life of the pianist Byron Janis. Published by John Wiley & Sons and written together with his wife Maria Cooper Janis--an active board member of the American Society for Psychical Research--the work eloquently conveys the history of a unique musical career interspersed with frequent inexplicable events including such things as self-materializing objects, synchronicity, past lives, soul mates, ghostly apparitions, and precognition.

The Royal Society's Report on Spiritualism

The 'Report on Spiritualism of The Committee of the London Dialectical Society' was published in 1871 by the Royal Society and was made public after a unanimous vote by its members. The committee involved in this report made it their goal to accept as much evidence as they could find on spiritualism, both from people who claimed the phenomena to be delusional as well as from those who expressed the genuineness in the gathered claims. As such, this committee set themselves the objective to investigate the following propositions...

Upon Which I Disassociate

Disassociation is a trait that is often overlooked when trying to grasp the mental make up of those who are interested and appreciate the paranormal. What do I mean by 'disassociation'? It is the ability to leave this reality and go elsewhere in your mind and see things that others are unable to see because they are not looking and are just fine with their monday night football, Fox News reports, and BBQs on the weekend. Those who disassociate, they may try to do these things to feel normal, but they most often fail and have a general sense that something just isn't right with the single channel shown to them as 'the way to live' every day.

William Crookes' Psychic Force Experiments in Table Tipping

After being lauded by the scientific community, in 1871, at the request of some of his fellow scientists, William Crookes began to look into the phenomena of spiritualism.
