Maryland witness watches unknown light ascend from ground level

A Maryland witness at Adelphi reported watching a single light ascend vertically "straight as an arrow 90 degrees" at rapid speed and then disappear, according to November 26, 2012, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database. The witness was standing outside at about 7:45 p.m. on November 25, 2012, facing southwest when the light was first seen.
