Has anyone had any experiences with this? I just heard about it, and am not sure what to think.

I am scheduled to be on the radio, talking to people about paranormal investigating, and would like other peoples opinions. I personally strongly advise people to not experiment with the unknown just for run, as it can lead to very bad consequences.

You're not going to show this film on the radio are you?

Ok, I was curious. Google devils toy box and there is the article for this thread. I read it and I guess you need six mirrors all the same size. Put them together in a cube form (mirrored sides in), and then do nothing. There were several comments from over 2 years ago. I guess to make it fun you place a black cat inside and then seal it. It was not recommended for a sex toy, but it will take up space in your room.

Well the whole premiss on the devils toy box is suppose to be the mystical property of the mirrors. With the mirrors all facing each other they are suppose to be able to trap and amplify ahh things... spirits and such. There is allot of lore and stories on mirrors probably going all the way back to their inception. The devils toy box is pretty much suppose to follow along those lines except it is suppose to have a more supercharged effect then a regular mirror. Your best angle on researching things like the devils toybox if you can't find allot of information on one would be to look up the history of mirrors in the occult and the paranormal.

I personally don't quite buy the premiss of the devils toybox exactly because if you think about it .. Once it is sealed up, the inside is in total darkness and therefore in complete absence light which would result in the mirrors not really being mirrors anymore. Without light what would they reflect?

I would be curious though if somebody was able seal up a real small real sensitive light meter inside the box and run the connection for it out one of the corners of the box to a meter. (of course sealing up around the cord at the box edge to preserve the integrity of the total darkness of the box.)

If you wind up with some readings that would be intersting indeed. If I saw some data like that it would force me to have a beer or two. (Or holy water as I call it) :)

Yes, mirrors can be spooky. Every time I look in one there is a monster in there that apes what I do.

I remember as a freshman in college a particular Physics lecture about a cat in a box and a probability question, the likelihood that dropping a poison gas capsule in an acid bath what would be the % chance of the cat still being alive after x times duration? Germans and their poison gas, I hope the lab assistant told "S" to check on his own cat for himself. Or he checked and the cat did not like the smell of the acid and jumped out of the box and ran away. Put "S" in the box and try again.

You guys will never ever believe me. But your right Bob mirrors are not you. Science will try to tell you your reflection in just light rays bouncing bla bla bla. But there's more to them they have always been conciderd as door ways and they are. Not always but is it funny how you concider that immage to be yourself. Like your finger or foot. Its not. These man made portals can be decieving. If the immage in the mirror looks a bit older than you just except it. That's you right? Nope. It looks like you but it is not you. I'm not saying that if you never looked into a mirror that you wouldn't get older but just when you see that wrinkle or blemish don't give that immage to much credit. Belief is power. Not all powerfull but still very strong. I'l tell you a story from my younger days that you won't take for face value but that's what happend. I was playing with the mirror. Doing the old bloody mary thing. Did you guys ever try staring into a mirror without moving your eyes or blinking how your immage tends to distort and get creepy. If you haven't you should try it alone and at night. Doesn't matter how much lighting. But anyway so I got bored and stopped . I turned around to take a wizz. When I turned back around and was looking at the back of my head. At first I was like yup that's how my head looks. Then I realized "wait that's not how it works." And just then my immage turned and faced towards me. It took all of 5 seconds but. Ever since then I don't trust mirrors too much. I use them as they are usefull. But whatever that thing is I always know it is not me. So what I'm saying is don't trust your immage at face value. Yes that is a pun. Your not as wretched or old as it looks. Remeber belief alone is strong enough to curse you or help you. Its all in how you wield it. One of my first motto's "Every curse has a benefit and every benefit a curse." -Wereparadox

I'm an idiot, I'll try it!! Do I have to take a wizz too? Well I will if I have to. I'll let you know if anything happens.

So did anyone actually try stareing into a mirror and not blinking or movong your eyes at night maybe with a low light source? Just looking at your image? Or are you too scared. Almost nothing I say is truly "nuts". I actually have a very scientific mind. I test thing multiple times and useually for years before I even bother mension it to anyone. If something is new to me then I'll tell someone just so. Maybe its just my warped brain but the longer I stare without blinking or moveing my eyes at my image the wierder it gets. That back of the head thing only happend once but that's what I saw like it or lump it.

P.s. creating an eternal flame was the first test/step for an apprentice alchemist. I can do it in theory. Forgot most of it. But I still remember the basic parts. Man if I only had the memory C.S. Lewis. I would beable to prove the nature of the universe or at least make up an awsome dissertation. I've spent a lot of my life seeing if the immposible is true.
