Greetings. A four years ago a girlfriend of mine comitted suicide, well ever since then on her birthday I wake up a covered in shallow cuts on my arms,legs and small of my back, last year it was so bad it got me two weeks of psyciatric evaluations because a doctor said it looked self inflected. I was just wondering what could be cuasing them, could it be me or her or a related spirit or what?

If her death left you mentally scared, you could very well be doing it to yourself and not realize it. Perhaps you are having lapses in memory? I would just see what course of action the psychiatrists prescribes first.

very sorry to hear of your friend, it must have been hard dealing with something like that, i am going to agree with weyward here, but what do you think it could be, you know what is it your heart is telling you ,because you should have more trust in yourself, your instinct, do you yourself think that you did it? with so very little to go on we cant say one way or other im afraid 

Well the birthday is on monday and ive decided to pay for a sleep observation to get answers.

Why pay for that? can you not rig up a camcorder in your room,?  does it only happen ob her birthday?  take care

the obersvation was stop half way tonight by a fire in the observation rooms computers so no answers yet.

Here's my ballsy suggestion: Why wait? Find a hypnotherapist that doesn't do shows that'll regress your mind back to that particular day last year, and record in multiple formats what your body goes through. Blessed be.

Very interesting.  I've been dealing with strange paranormal activity in my home for years.  Part of that activity has been the appearance of scratches and cuts during sleep.  The longest I have seen was a perfectly straight line from the top of a person's right shoulder down their body to their kneecap.  I think it sounds like you  are taking a good approach by getting observation done and there are some good suggestions here.  I hope everything works out.

Im leaning to a theory , the more i think of it, that  a certian mental state is required for events like this, like poltergiests or in my case just cuts recieved during the night on a specific day. I do think there a paranormal component to what happened to me, it is possiable that a spirit or even a demon (or other spirit like being that we have yet to name) could have indirectly or directly affected me while my mental state left me less defended. But then I have no real answers as of yet.
