Ghost Girl?

Hey Guys... my feeling on ghosts and aliens and the paranormal is that video or photographic evidence is a funnny business, because the more convincing a paranormal video or photo looks the faker it obviously is... if a ghost was caught on tape how would we discern it and know it is real... there are videos of people bumping into ghosts that are so real looking they appear to be just human so in order to be credible the ghost or spirit needs to looks less human and therefore more convincing? anyway to point. anyone on here who watches fact or faked: paranormal files will be aware of this video... they wouldnt look into it as they felt it was in no way paranormal... either way it creeped me out at the beggining. i would appreciate opinions on it and exactly what do you feel is certain video or photographic proof of the paranormal?... is this video the real deal or a clever understated hoax?

much appreciated

I think this may be a hoax. The whole thing is too contrived, the stereotypical little girl with long hair in a white nightdress has been done many times before. This is believe is one of the most genuine clips out there.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xlyofmznOs

I Have always felt that video was compelling evidence... apparently its been disproven and is all CG? and also it was disproven and it was horse riders on a trail behind the trees?... alot of different stories debunking it but i dont know if it was ever proved but yeah i agree one of the most genuine looking clips its hard to find decent ghost videos... below is one i believe to be a clever hoax... and the other hmmm i still cant rule it out... haha

Hey spooky, ghost kids creep me out too... i have often wondered if there is any validation to the long black haired little girl in a white gown "ring" or "grudge" type ghost or is it just from japanese legend?... if that video is a fake (and yes the acting is an indicator it is aswell as the fact they run toward the creepy ghost! haha) then its very well done in my opinion and like i said originally the more human a ghost looks the faker it seems... i wonder where the idea of a sheet ghost came from? y'know with the black hole eyes and the sheet body? haha i dont think anyone reports them badboys? i think that video you posted weldkatom is very compelling evidence and shows that the more genuine ghost videos are the ones where you don't see too much just enough... well thats my opinion anyway. theres a ghost video where a guy runs into a little boy and gets scared and runs away he claims its genuine... but it could just be a little boy? haha (and that ghost girl in the mirror really freaked me out when i first saw it i cant rule it out as a fake

I really doubt the videos where people deliberately chase the ghost. When I saw my first ghost at my workplace, I quit. It was scary, and there was no way in hell I would have chased after it with a camera.

Also, the little girl in the nightdress is a little overused. I liked the link to the soldier-ghosts though.

I've watched that one show with Zack, Nick, and Aaron. Pompous idiots. There were two times they had something good, and they just let it go. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAScd2dZz7U

If I had caught any of that on camera, after I was done running away, I would return with an army of scientists and engineers to camp out for a month. Not just leave to the next gig.

Hey spooky!, i decided to do some digging on sheet ghosts heres what i found.... Theatrical traditions.

"...For a long time, ghosts were not depicted in any particular way; it was up to the dialogue or plot to establish that a character was deceased, and therefore a ghost. Then it became common to set ghosts apart by making them wear outdated costumes, often suits of armor when those had become obsolete; this was anestablished usage by Shakespeare's time. But armor make ghosts look clumsy and noisy, ridiculous rather than fearsome. In the 18th century, a new tradition emerged: sheeted ghosts looked mysterious, looked somewhat fuzzy or shapeless. The on-stage depiction was a lot closer to what a picture of a ghost might look like.

Now the sheeted ghost looks somewhat dated, in part because the cinema offers new possibilities such as disappearing or partly transparent characters, and in part (in the US) because the Ku Klux Klan appropriated the costume. It's still going strong in children's cartoons."

That Sucks! i was hoping to find a wnole sub-culture of sheeted ghosts... and reports of sheet ghosts with eye holes and roller skates! haha

Levinus: Thanks for the video link... i was not aware of this show. i think ghost hunting shows are very hit and miss...
i do not like ghost hunters (Taps) i think they get some interesting evidence but the show as a whole annoys me!
i do like Ghost Hunt! the one with carolin taylor and brad and the other guy.... the new zealanders they dont get much amazing footage but theres a certain honesty about their show.
Animal X - Natural mystery unit... they have some cool videos online...
I Love Fact or faked: paranormal files!
and i have every DVD of Most Haunted! ever released... could watch most haunted all day.
So this ghost adventures they dont seem in anyway skeptical they automatically assume everything is paranormal in that video there didnt seem to be much explaining or natural causes being mentioned... i am gonna look into them more... but it all comes down to do you trust the show because unless you were there theres always that chance it is all fake.... and if most haunted is all fake, i still love it! :)

Bad news Bugs,Derek Acorah and the rest have been exposed as charlatans.Even the historian Felix has had his credibility doubted.
I am sick of all these fraudsters out to make money off gullible people, especially so called psychics!
