13,000 Year old temple in the garden of Eden!! Any thoughts would be appreciated. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1157784/Do-mysterious-stones-mark-site-Garden-Eden.htmlsteriddler posted:4/3/2012 5:29:26 PM (Reply)In Reply To:weldkatom posted:4/3/2012 4:48:34 PM (Reply)Came across this a little while back and was blown away.Hunter gatherers from 13,000 years ago, maybe more, were capable of this. What other sites are waiting to be discovered that could push that date back even further? The bible does not give any time scale to most events. I think the garden eden could infact go back millions of years. The clock only seems to start when eve is tempted via the devil. They could have been in eden quite some time until that time arrived. How far back was it when the land's started to seperate, because there is a scripture in the bible which reads in genesis. Genesis 10:25 25 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one [was] Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name [was] Joktan. ( Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided ). so if in pelegs day the land was parted it kinda refers to people before this time period maybe the land had not parted yet. (Not Christian, btw) But Gobekli Tepe is a really neat place. 13000 years old, and using architecture that is still sound today. With carvings of animals that don't live on site at all. I like to fantasize that perhaps our ancient history is rich with more culture than we imagine. Instead of mindless rock-hurling brutes...maybe we were smarter? High tech even? Who knows.weldkatom posted:4/4/2012 4:31:06 AM (Reply)This is a good article with a few interesting links at the bottom. http://www.consciousape.com/2012/03/15/gobekli-tepe-paradise-lost-or-genesis-discovered/spiritech0 posted:4/4/2012 2:29:08 PM (Reply)It was ancient aliens. How far back does it really go? http://esciencenews.com/articles/2012/04/02/scientists.find.evidence.human.ancestors.used.fire.one.million.years.ago http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/16/science/16archeo.htmljeff posted:4/6/2012 11:31:36 AM (Reply)I've read thousands of books--here is one that is in my top five: The Rosicrucian Cosmo Conception It is about the origins of man, and presents it in the most unique perspective I have ever found. During one of my OBEs, I met Max Heindel briefly--more than likely because I respected his book so much. Even if you are not into Mystic Christianity, enjoy! There's tons of details in here about ancient human history far earlier than Atlantis. And yes, it's far cooler than aliens, but they're not left out!weldkatom posted:4/6/2012 8:25:50 PM (Reply)Looks interesting to say the least,I dont have much time to read lately but I think this one deserves an examination. How is it when talking about the garden of eden or adam an eve no one ever talks about liliths role to play in it all as adams FIRST WIFEbobprin posted:5/4/2013 7:52:27 AM (Reply)Most men never talk about their ex. But yes, what happened to her? Were there kids? Ahh the complexitys of people. But back to gobekli tepe, they say the first temple built was the best one as far as construction, carvings, and symmetry. Then the rest were built in decending care. That is very odd.LincolnGenghis posted:5/4/2013 12:20:16 PM (Reply)same thing happened with the pyramids, the constructions went way down hill after the great one kjohns2001 posted:5/5/2013 5:49:29 AM (Reply)To: valkyrie_bound I read an interesting article awhile back that said Lilith was God's wife, not Adam's. Don't ask me when or where, I've slept since then, but perhaps a search would turn up the article? On a side note, in reference to the pyramid topic, am I the only person in the world to be of the opinion that the human head on the Sphinx is out of proportion to the body? I've often wondered if a much later Pharaoh, or other ruler, had a human head carved out of a much different original one. Just speculation on my part, but does anyone else have any thoughts on this?bobprin posted:5/5/2013 7:22:31 AM (Reply)Yes, it is thought the original head was a lion. It is also thought the sphinx dates back to the neolithic age, far older than the pyramids. Please log in or become a member to add a post.
