Well, I'd say if it's not faked, it looks VERY much like they captured a ghost here.

I use to tour a museum in Michigan from the turn of the century.  Pyramid Lake, Navada looks to be prime Gold Rush territory.  I'm betting a lot of families would stop their on their way to California.  The gold rush occured in the late 1840's and early 50's.  Sooooo, I did some research on fashion at the time.  What spooked me was that the girl in the pic NAILED the fashion.  Apparently "Off-the-shoulder dresses" were pretty common.  Rich girls would wear silk and sashes, but if she is a gold-rush child...it would make sense that she didn't.  From pictures I've seen at hte museum in old magazines, this girl predates 1899.Its a pity you can't see her shoes, because that would tell the time very well. And from a skeptic view:  There is a great deal of tarp behind the couple.  Its possible the wind...and swamp gas from venus....or something.

It's great to see you do the research. You are sharp. Thanks much for posting the information.

If this was faked it was faked very well.  It shows great depth, coloration, and there is no visible evidence of it being edited in.  It looks like a girl standing there, but you can see through her.  A very excellent piece of evidence, or a very good hoax.  I would call it real.

Looks very real to me. Looks at lot the ghost that lives around here and goes house to house.

I would love to see a bigger pic. I mean, ghosts are always so elusive...yet this one looks eager to pose! I would have to say eh-nah on this one.

I can see it behind the couple, and it looks real, but hey, there is no one than can really say if it's fake or real. so I say REAL..

Yeah, it looks like that "ghost" phone app to me. I am pretty sure they have an apparition that looks just like this.

lol, see and people wonder why skeptics are skeptics, its cause of kids like this that post in places like this telling fake ghost stories, fake pics...etc. BTW. this pic is well known fake among many others, has been posted all over the net with many various images and stories attached to it. like here for example: http://-newedition.tumblr.com/post/1110860340/its actually the same one in this photo too, just altered more with the ghost app. http://0.tqn.com/d/paranormal/1/0/y/o/1/weslaco-ghost.jpg. I just wish others here wern't so quick to believe everything and actually do some research.
