Paranormal Unity.... Why it can work..... Share | 12>Chuck TIPP Founder posted:4/9/2012 11:31:49 AM (Reply)I want to address why i think Paranormal Unity can work and how it can change the face of paranormal research. First of all i ever hear is that it will never happen the field will never unite. There is so much bashing of teams from one team to the next in the field and so much ego that most will never have faith in unity. But i ask you this how can this be viewed as a legit science if we cant even get along with each other. There is no team no investigator any better then the team there bashing. What is your (theory) based investigation at a higher level then the next teams? I would say no its all theory based some teams may get better results then the next team by doing things a little different and here's where the unity idea can help the science of paranormal research. Now if one teams investigation tactics bring better results and sense we are all looking for one thing the truth. Then why not share what your doing with other teams? Does it really matter who is the best or who does the best investigation? Once again i would say no....What matters in the field of Paranormal research is finding what we seek and helping others. And that takes me to my next point so many teams clam to be client based and claim that helping the client is number one.Working together as a unit in the field can help even more client by sharing ideas and tactics. This field is not about who gets more TV air time TV ratings oR who gets the best radio show or Who signs the most photos of them selves. Its about learning ,teaching, helping and finding what each person is searching for. Networking teams There are so many teams ,investigators, and researchers in this field if we were to unit and create a web all over the world just think what that could do for those who need our help.Say theres a team in New York that is contacted by a client thats need help ASAP but your case load is so large you can not get to them as soon as you would like.a NETWORK of teams can solve this for you and get help to those who need it by just emailing, calling, texting the closes team to the client. This is great way to expanded the ability to reach more who need us those who need what we do when everything else has failed. Progressing the science and technology We have so many great minds in this field by unity we can pull more of those great minds together and advance the investigation tactics advance the technology of equipment do better document possible activity .There is a saying that we all know and i truely believe it in my heart... ONE MIND CAN DO GREAT THINGS BUT MANY MINDS CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS Changing how others see the field of Paranormal Research By uniting we can show that we are an organized science and not just a bunch of people that run around in the dark chasing strange noises for thrills.By uniting we can show that we are serious researchers and investigators. And we deserve the same respect as any other science. These are just a few of my thoughts i would like to see this field make a statement that we are professionals.Stand up and support Paranormal Unity progress the science create a new ERA in the field. Unfortunately, over the years the subject of the Paranormal World has become a competition. But it is big enough for everyone, despite what people may think. No matter what country you are in, we all are looking for the same results, so why can't everyone help each other? And at this community, we do just that. Originally established in 2007, the KTPF is a dedicated on-going Community, not just for when your experiencing animosity from others. We welcome every Paranormal Investigator and Enthusiast alike, including Hobbyists, Scientists and Psychic Mediums from around the globe, to join in as we cover this vast fascinating subject. We have also started a new paranormal talk show running along side our website, to help encourage those within the Paranormal to join in and share information, advice and most importantly - FRIENDSHIP I am passionate about this and hope I can help in some small way. Remember - Collaboration Not Competition Take care and enjoy all of life's adventures. From the sounds of it though and from going over to the website it looks more like the beginnings of some kind of trade group. In my field I have been involved in different trade groups over the years and they all start out as great ideas and work well in the beginning. what usually happens with allot of them is they get very top heavy and start charging unreasonable membership dues on people to be a part of the organization and eventually they set themselves up as almost a regulatory kind of body for a particular field. At that point the money really starts rolling in for them, they start making huge amounts of money and basically loose touch with what they were started for in the first place. Even though they list themselves as nonprofit organizations the money goes to all the overpaid full time salaries of the people running the whole thing. And by that point they really don't do anything at all for the members outside of collecting dues for letting them say they are part of organization. I like your thoughts on the matter though if it is indeed for the right reasons you have outlined. Good luck with the whole thing, hopefully it will stick with the ideals that you have discussed. Chuck TIPP Founder posted:4/9/2012 10:41:46 PM (Reply)We are not a trade group period what you see when you go to the site is my dream.I have never in my 15 years as an investigator every once asked for payment. We are a true unity site working to better the field of paranormal research. No price will ever be charged for membership of my site or organization period.Money is not important for me.My passion is the paranormal please take the time to find my profile on the site same name has here and read a little about my story.I would think you would before making remarks like you have you would have researched us first and then given your opinion.LincolnGenghis posted:4/10/2012 12:07:11 AM (Reply)wow. I was not trying to accuse you of actually currently being a trade group. I actually said I liked your thoughts on the matter. I was over at the site already and was digging around there in the member lists and happened to see some people listed as director, assistant director, a director of marketing and saw various chapters. It just reminded me of a trade group start up structure and that's all I really meant. Most of them started out free also. Hopefully it stays the way you want it to. If there is never going to be membership fee and it never turns into a controlling organization then that is great. I'm All for it. (Hopefully you can understand how I could get the initial impression I did) If I could come away with an initial thought like that after digging around the site and reading the post, I am sure allot of other potential members could come away with the same misunderstanding that I seem to have had. Sorry. Levinus posted:4/10/2012 7:16:38 AM (Reply)"By uniting we can show that we are serious researchers and investigators. And we deserve the same respect as any other science." Believe me, nothing would make me happier than to see the scientific community embrace the paranormal and study it. I'll be honest though, there is big difference between hobbyists and scientists. Instead of investigating a single house for a week, you would have to camp out there for years, recording every little damn thing. Data is your best tool. Unfortunately, in the paranormal, data just doesn't happen. The events are sporadic, unpredictable, and can never be duplicated. And without data, it can't be a science. It just can't. I'm telling you from personal experience, if you want it to be legitimately studied and respected, you'll need to collect data...lots and lots of it. Names, dates, times, weather conditions, moon phases, traffic conditions, people's health...on and on of every single event. Store it in a log, find a constant, test the constant, form a hypothesis, modify the constant, etc etc... You'll need someone who is actually trained in the scientific method to add validity to the group and has the time to devote to it. Personally, I have no time.Chuck TIPP Founder posted:4/10/2012 10:43:08 AM (Reply)LincolnGenghis im sorry if i took it the wrong way please forgive me.We have chapters all over the world the directors are running those chapters.I believe for any organization needs structure to be successful.I agree Levinus long term investigations are very important.spooky1 posted:4/10/2012 3:49:47 PM (Reply)I think the whole idea is great! A little about me not ment to advertize... As a small child i saw and heard things that were not normal and couldnt be explained away.My parents had me put on meds thinking it was all in my head and even took me to our church to have me prayed over to stop these things. But it didnt change a thing. My grand mother finnaly set me down and and told me that there were things in this world that could not be explained away so easly and told me about the spirit world..I was 14 and that is when i began to research the paranormal at 18 i began to investigate and have been every sense im 32 now and am still searching.I am firm believer but take a skeptics approach to every investigation.I have a dream that one day the paranormal feild can come together and unite as one to reach our common goals of finding the truth..I beleive this is the only way we can progress the science of paranormal research. But first EGOS must be put aside. This is my dream and this is why The International Paranormal Project was created T.I.P.P is a place were all areas of the Paranormal field can come together and work in unity to progress the science of paranormal research. And through this we can reach our common goals..The Truth is out there lets find it...You will not be attacked for what you believe. We must work together... One mind can do great things but many minds can move mountains...We must respect everyone in the field who have earned it as well as those who have passed on to where ever it is we go when our time is done here.I truly believe that once we began to work together we can take the Paranormal Field to the next level and learn more then we ever imagined.... Investigations and research could mean anything. If there is supposed to be unity, there should also be uniform data requirements, data gathering, data reporting. Most investigators who go into haunted homes record things such as emf fluctuations, weird sensations, nausea, goosebumps, evps, orb photos, human shaped temperature spikes that cannot be repeated--but is any of this stuff useful or repeatable? Not really. There are uniform UFO reports being submitted frequently, but the most anyone really seems to have done with that data is to make nice google map overlays. So I'm at a loss to understand what could be accomplished. In the past, organizations such as the Royal Society have done research into the paranormal, and in all honesty, although their reports are 130 years old, it's more useful than the data being gathered now. At least their skeptics had healthy criticism as opposed to just being jackasses. For instance, the criticisms of William Crookes research into the psychic force claimed that his findings could be thrown out because no equation could be formed to describe the psychic force. I thought this was healthy. It would be nice to see criticisms nowadays that are equally as useful. Just sayin'.Well I do have to kind of disagree on the Jay and Grant thing , there are indirect ways of paying people allot money when it comes to networks. Talk shows and news shows indirectly pay people allot of money all the time. I really think if somebody dug into that one, say a forensic accountant people might be slightly shocked. Hell and I am not trying to bad mouth anything they do, I just know there is money greasing the wheels somewhere in that show. They both seem like good people I never had any problem with them , but there is actually money there.Ars Mysteriorum posted:4/11/2012 2:45:03 AM (Reply)As my friend says, this is yet another 'turn of the crank'.
