The doomsday clock is ticking down, in lieu of diplomatic talks the missles are fired. Destruction rains down all over the world. There are survivors, you among them. How would you survive? Where would you go? What would you do?

When driving truck I had a lot of time to think and this was one of the problems I pondered. I am where I would go and have a plan. Hopefully it will never happen but.....

my parents have a two story home they built near a lake on the other side of the mountains from San Diego. Surviving
an Atomic was is easy, wanting to survive that is the difficult part of the equation.

Yes, wanting to survive for some would be difficult. There was a paper I read once that stated the death rate from suicide and accident in the first two weeks after the destruction would kill appx one third of the initial survivors. Jaxerback, I don't believe anyone would not be affected. Being intoxicated would be a dreadful mistake. Most people would be in shock. Human nature is to not believe that something will happen until it does.

by the time JaxerB wakes up, it will all be over. Then by just saving their own little corner, they can claim how the "Irish saved civilization." You have to love the humour.

God bless the Irish.

Amen.

if only the Irish survive, will there be any humanity worth saving?
gary107   posted:9/28/2013 3:57:15 AM  (Reply)
not ant sober humanity, but then the Irish would never had developed the bomb. They just write about what it does.
No great Irish Physicists that come to mind.

you would need a lot of living brain cells.
bobprin   posted:9/28/2013 8:15:49 AM  (Reply)
Yes the Irish would never develop the bomb, they are much too smart to do a stupid thing like that.
gary107   posted:9/28/2013 12:38:24 PM  (Reply)
that does not mean they would not steal one if they could. their luck holds, they still do not have a functional one. I did formulate the question: Why do people who live in cities build bombs that can eat entire cities?
bobprin   posted:9/28/2013 1:17:19 PM  (Reply)
People are stupid. Bombs aren't even good tools. Knifes and guns are at least useful for other things than killing your fellow man. But hey what the heck, assured mutual destruction is a good idea!**
