Little girl in the dark.

One evening a few weeks ago we decided to go out for dinner.We set off at roughly 5.30 in the evening.
I live in a very rural area in Ireland,so we had to traverse a series of bendy narrow back roads to reach our destination.
It was while we were negotiating these bends,the headlights suddenly shone on a little girl wearing a red top who was staring back at us.It took only a split second.
Why would a small girl be standing in a ditch in the dark on a cold night in the middle of nowhere?
Incidentally my 10 year old daughter who was in the back spontaneously burst into tears.
Just a weird experience.

Sounds like you saw a ghost. Not an uncommon thing along the road. Did your daughter say why she burst into tears? If it bugs you, you may wish to look into newspaper stories of accidents along that stretch of road or missing children. You may have to search back many years. Or there is a plausable explaination. People here in the US have begun a curious thing of putting up crosses or markers where their loved ones have died in accidents. I often wonder if that's a subconcious way of putting the soul to rest.

I don't know but if I was you I wouldn't drive your daughter on that stretch of road. Might be prophetic? Did any body see silenthill the movie? Maybe she has a destiny there?

I happened to mention this to a work colleague who is from Pakistan.
He said that he no longer drives down that stretch of road because his daughter becomes upset for no apparent reason.
My daughter just said she felt afraid because it was so dark.
I cant find anything in the local records regarding an accident or some such??
I know that both myself and my wife saw the girl...it was one of those..did you just see ...?

the little girl wearing the red top was she being followed by a wolf? In California we have DUI laws that are used to mstop people from driving in that condition, eh.
