Are there EMF devices with GPS and logs? Share | 0x6a656666 posted:3/29/2011 11:08:25 AM (Reply)Just wondering if anyone has run across some type of super EMF reader that records EMF signatures to a log with attached GPS coordinates. The only reason I ask is it would be really beneficial if ghost investigators could collaborate their data instead of just freaking out when their readers register a blip. If these things haven't been created yet, perhaps someone will take the initiative and invent one? Swamptick posted:3/29/2011 11:32:50 AM (Reply)I am not aware of any of them that have GPS logs. As far as the freakouts that is usually the by-product of poor training and over zealous enthusiasm. Good investigators do baseline readings. These are readings that occure before the investigation. These baseline readings are charted and logged so that when there are any 'blips' it is compared to the log of known and explainable fluctiations. As far as a log, you can use your voice recorder or a notebook very effectively.Hope that helps!0x6a656666 posted:3/29/2011 11:50:36 AM (Reply)Well, with GPS, I can picture using the data to create a three dimensional model or something. Almost like a higher reading could be used to draw a picture on the screen. Then again, you'd probably have to take an EMF reading at every point in the room. spiritech0 posted:3/29/2011 12:43:14 PM (Reply)Holy Hot Hand Helds, Jeff! That's an awesome idea, and hopefully one that won't be trademarked... By GHI types. Kidding. Anywho, yes all those gadgets can and should be consolidated into one nifty package to produce one nifty digital image. Unless the EMF spike drains the batteries, then you'll just have cool paperweights. Shields up, peeps. There's a spybot on the lookout for competitive innovation.
