Are these Creatures, Spirits or a Technical Glitch? Share | LincolnGenghis posted:10/6/2013 5:18:38 PM (Reply)I was recently contacted by Larry Smith regarding some photos he had. Larry has been on PN for quite some time, most people here probably do not know him because he does not take part in the forums very often. Larry had posted an article on here a while back and also has a private website with the information on the photos. Larry had me take a look at the photos because I had a background in computer/machine/robot vision systems. To tell you the truth The first time I saw the pics I immediately thought fake before I even looked at the photos closely. I revisited the main photo again recently and looked at the thing at the pixel level and can honestly say there are no tell tale signs of any after the fact image manipulation that I can find. The one thing that can be ruled out would be a hoax or purposeful fake. Larry would not be able to pull an image off like that and if you knew Larry its just something he would not do. I guess Larry is still looking for answers on this one whatever they might be. If it's a technical glitch he would like a pretty detailed explanation on how it happened and if the things are real what are they? I have some thoughts on technical possibilities of these images but I have nowhere near the outdoor camera experience some people might have that wander through here. (my camera experience is in perfect controlled conditions, contolled lighting and flawless lenses.) And if these whatever they are might be real then what the hell could they be? Has anybody seen something like this? Has anybody else captured photos like these? I guess Larry would like any input or thoughts on this. I have attached two links below. One to Larrys article and one to his website. If there is more interest in this I can try coordinating with Larry and Post the pictures directly in this thread. I have notified Larry that this thread is here, he would be able to best answer any questions on the photos because they are his. Larrys Article Larrys Site So guess with this I will leave the floor open to Larry. He would be the person to ask specific questions of concerning the origins of the photos.daymoon posted:10/6/2013 7:22:27 PM (Reply)There were a lot of interesting aspects to those pics. I think they do look like sprinklers though. But hey what do I know? It could be two alien beings mating and that is sperm spraying. Kind of like the way sponges sprinkle it.LincolnGenghis posted:10/6/2013 8:19:42 PM (Reply)Well larry did say that there were at one point sprinklers going and that was one of the thoughts I had was possibly light refracting through the droplets causing the colors due to a prism type of effect splitting colors of the spectrum (like the way Rainbows form). I think he did say at one point in some of the images there was no sprinkler going though so that still could possibly mean a droplet on the lens or something doing the same thing. Outside of that I really don't have much else in the way of technical thoughts on the images. I think the camera was a mounted outdoor IR game camera but Larry would have to confirm this. Has anybody had any similar effects through any outdoor game cameras? By the same token though if the droplets were filtering out various wavelengths of the light spectrum maybe they allowed something normally invisible to be seen. Now going with that thought maybe they are interdimensional creatures from a waterless dimension that have come to make sweet love to the sprinkler. :) Ok so that Lincoln idea might be from the far end of the spectrum. But on a serious note I would like to find out from Larry if he knows anything about the history of the property? or if he has had any type of spirit activity attached to the property. Jaxerback posted:10/6/2013 9:31:36 PM (Reply)It looks like a water droplet effect to me.. LincolnGenghis posted:10/7/2013 1:18:20 AM (Reply)Ok these images might partially solve this thing. This one granted it is in black and white but the creature in the image was a small peice of cobweb on the lens. They are said to look like translucent veils and the distance perception of them also makes it look like they are farther away then they really are. Ok now this next one is light refracting through water drops Now this one is a water droplet that got on a camera lens with a light source behind it. And of course this one is of rain drops falling in front of a game cam. In the apparent environment at the time there certainly was the oppertunity to have one or all of these things going on. I don't know, this is my best take on the possible technical glitches that could have happened with the camera. its the best I got.daymoon posted:10/7/2013 8:56:25 AM (Reply)Well, regardless of what they really are it still does not retract from the beauty of the photos and there odd effects. That rainbow looking polka dot one is absolutely beautiful and would look awesome blown up into a large picture and mounted in a black frame :)bobprin posted:10/7/2013 9:21:54 AM (Reply)The motion cam we set up by the bigfoot feeder has nightflash on it. We have not gotten any pics like the ones you've shown. We did place a protective hood over it. No bigfeet yet, just two deer and what appears to be a porkypine. I vote for water refraction.LincolnGenghis posted:10/11/2013 3:14:45 AM (Reply)Yeah and those pictures I put up were just posibilities for technical glitches. they don't really prove that his are technical glitches. Larry will probably drop in when he gets his login issue straightened out. He would be able to answer questions better about his photos.LSMIT60@YAHOO.COM posted:10/11/2013 8:47:01 AM (Reply)The opportunity for all these anomalous events was definitely in existence that night as well as the previous months. The difference, I see, is that the critters were not. But befor that event, normal wildlife of the area regularly visited. That night there were 4 deer up to midnight. Then followed 1 hour of nothing, the critters showed up for approx. 2.5 hours, with nothing including deer for a week or so. I have now moved/sold out and at another location on Lake Murray. Only Deer so far.LSMIT60@YAHOO.COM posted:10/11/2013 8:53:01 AM (Reply)That evening is recorded at my blog www.paranormalornot.comLSMIT60@YAHOO.COM posted:10/11/2013 8:57:02 AM (Reply)The opportunity for all these anomalous events was definitely in existence that night as well as the previous months. Has there been any other kinds of strange stuff reported there in the past or present?LSMIT60@YAHOO.COM posted:10/14/2013 12:21:18 PM (Reply)History at this location has been covered with water since the Dam was built some 60 years ago I know of nothing that would indicate a possible supernatural event. Since my own thoughts don't leave much room for the paranormal. I tend more to the scientific thought first. That's not to say I am ignorant of the spiritual. There is a small body of work recorded on the Internet. Trevor James Constable is the best soutce I have seen for scientific information regarding critters. I really would like to KNOW more. You must remember advances in photography have open even more areas of exploration if every thing is no studied with a mind set closed. LS 10/4LincolnGenghis posted:10/16/2013 12:27:16 PM (Reply)So your game cam never picked up anything like that again after that night?LSMIT60@YAHOO.COM posted:10/17/2013 5:49:12 PM (Reply)That's correct, however after a week or so and I was no longer even getting deer I became a little lackadaisical about setting the camera out regularly. I was spending fruitless time running around trying to find someone who was as interested as I that I might learn from. I saw newspaper people, numerous law enforcement agencies, DOA, photographers, game wardens, About anyone who might have come in contact with these things in the remotest way. No luck. Then even though I know less than a little about Internet use, I started fumbling around. I tried contacting a few colleges. They showed little to no interest even though totally ignorant of the entities in the pics. The consensus of opinion was either they had no idea or water anomalies or what the hell are those things? Bottom line, the more educated suggestions came down on the side of anomalous moisture caused. But, I did not give all the pics. to all of them. I had my reasons for not allowing all my pics to 1 person. Therefor some had no way of knowing I had pics with no evidence of water. I had pics with several varieties of critters in same shot. Before the critters showed up I had 4 normal deer shots. A couple of shots showed trees standing where there are no trees. Which I understand can happen. My point is that the moisture didn't cause misty, foggy, faded, blurry strange, or freakish looking entities. That's what we are use to seeing. These are critters that while you have never seen them before, you can comprehend at least in a limited way. UV camera very important to getting these pix.
