Hi All,I’m a production assistant at Screaming Flea Productions, based here in Seattle and we're working on a new TV program. On our program, the client/patient would work with a licensed psychotherapist in therapy sessions in order to get to the root of their issues associated with their paranormal encounter and consequential trauma. We want to hear about your paranormal experience(s)and how they may have effected your day-to-day life because we want to help you.It is my assumption that the after effect can sometimes cause an unwanted character change. The focus of the therapy provided, on our program, will not be to debunk, disprove, or prove a phenomenon… rather it’ll be about treating the trauma that has resulted from the claimed experience. Here's a bit of what we are looking for:1.Individuals willing to tell their story2.Individuals who have serious anxiety issues and/or trauma because of a paranormal experience(s)3.Individuals who’ve reached a state of crisis that impairs them from living a fully functional life (i.e. they can’t sleep, they’re agoraphobic, they’re disconnected from society or family/friends)4.Individuals who are open to therapyYou or someone you know may have been effected by paranormal experiences and we want you to know that you are not alone. These experiences are not rare. We want to hear your story, how you have been effected and we want to help you. Thanks guys,You can e-mail me(John) at PTCasting@sfpseattle.com

I think of it as an embellishment.

The house I lived in when I was a child was haunted by an old lady. I first had an experiaance when my bed clothes were pulled off me, even though I was trying to cling on to them.  It really scared the crap out of me, I was only about 5. For years I wouldnt sleep by myself and would sleep in my mum and dads bed. They eventually sent me to see a psychiatrist in London, thhere was even a glass 2 way mirror in the room with a video camera behind it! My mum later told me though it was a reason to get my dad up to the hospital as he would later be diagnosed with MS (not sure I beleive her though as it was a psychiatric hospital). Anyways a few years later when a was 13 I heard this rubbing sound  next to my bed I looked out from my bed clothes a saw a white apparition of what looked like an old lady scrubbing the floor. I immediatly jumped up and turned the light on and there was nothing there. A few months later me and my sister both heard the same noise again in separate bedrooms and went nd slept on in my mums room on the floor, the noise followed us into the room and even my mum could hear it. After that I9 never had another experiance in the house (I lived there until I was 21). Although my nephew who was 4yrs old was one day standing at the bottom of the stairs laughing, (me my sister, her husband were all watching TV) my sister asked what he was laughing at and he said "the old woman at the top of the stairs", needless to say this really freaked us out.

far out, one thing i would like to ask, have you done any research about the possible identity of the woman, could it be a relative, or someone connected with house before you, i am also wondering if it may be two seperate entities, as your nephew didnt seem at all bothered by it, so although it scared you maybe she is benign, and it was something altogether different to the thing that pulled off your bedclothes, children seem to have an inate ability to see things as they really are before school conditions them, did you see it was the lady that pulled off bedclothes, i would like to also congratulate you on your honesty regards the psychiatric  episode, i know only too well from experience that the so-called experts always think it must be a mental problem, its people like you we need to speak out so that one day we can tell our stories without being booked into nut-house first, bravo

It is very common for people who do not believe in the paranormal to immediately think that psychiatric treatment is the answer. In cases of possession it is almost always the first step!! But if they did their research even doctors and the psychiatric community cant explain some of these experiences. Lets all hope that as we do studies into the paranormal the horrors of some psychiatric treatment wont be the first response. I believe Jamie that you were being visited by a entity that was not ready to move on. They can attack children because children are more aware of them. I hope that you can forget the bad parts of this experience and try to remember what it has done for you. For example you now have personal proof that there is some form of life after our physical death. Your story is a great example and your bravery is atestament that we are not exactly alone!!!! In time we will prove them all wrong and the world will know that there is much more to this world than we can see, touch, smell or feel.

Well the previous occupents were an old lady and her husband, my mum later told me she drowned in the bath... which was nice :) Well I didnt mention the wee little things that happened like the electric oven being turned on by itself. My mum and dad had a long history of weird stuff happening, I think my dad just tried to deny everything. When he was growing up he lived with his great aunt and Uncle, sister and cousin in a large house (which had been in the family for about three generations). My mum told me of when she first started dating my dad, when she stayed over there at night she always felt someone sitting on the end of her legs (they slept in separate rooms in those days). My dads sisters boyfriend (long time uncle now) refused to sleep there after seeing a glowing white orb above there newborn babys crib. My aunt even said she saw her grandmother on a few occations combing her her in front of a mirror, as did my dad (shes had been dead for years). My dad also said he saw his long dead uncle in the attic a few times. I think there real problem came some years later, my Aunt loved tarot and quiji board, the four of them used to use it everytime they were together for an evening. One night they 'played' on it and the backdoor of the house crashed open and apparently spouted some terrible things towards my dad and aunt, they never used it again after that. My mum has never told me what it said, think my sister knows but she wouldnt tell me either. Both my dad and aunt were later diagnosed with MS which my dad has died of (dont know if it mentioned something about that?).I did have a couple more experiances not sure they were real though. When I moved out of home at 19, I moveed to this flat in sevenoaks (England) it was a really old place (oak beems in the ceiling and all) I swear I woke one night and there was a hooded figure over me. Not sure if it was real or a waking dream though. My girlfiend had a few experiances when we were living in our old flat, the dvd player came on the TV one day even though it wasnt plugged into the TV. She also swears blind that she saw a young girl in the mirror standing behind her whilst she was brushing her teeth (of course there were no young girls in the house).  I think iv blathered on enough, my brother in law swears blind he saw a UFO once it sorted morphed into chopping gases, although im not sure about that one as he did take alot of illegal sunstances in the past :)

As you mentioned that the family house was three generations in your family that is a very long time,  also baths in those days were small weren't they? tin baths if i remember so i may be a little skeptical about a lady dying in the bath, but having said that...anything is possible....I would say however that abilitties to see beyond the veil occurs in families so i would imagine it has passed onto you.  Like your family i too grew up with ouja boards, but we havent done so since it warned my sister to be careful...she was dead few days later....open veridict.....but she had strangle marks around her neck...like being garrotted with a wire or something...so i know they work....i just am unsure how....although other things happened like glasses flying off surfaces and staying mid air for longer than should be...As for the hooded figure..i have heard of such descriptions but not linked to ghosts....think otherworldly.....also the experiences with electricals working without being plugged in....my son had similar....the computer was switched off...but a song started to play....thats not my name as in the song.....and other stuff like that.. its only now that he is open to possiblity of otherworldly beings and things..the little girl....well could that have been anything else if you know what i mean...how tall was she...and last but not least where did you bro-in-law see the ufo....was he on anything at the time when he saw it?.

Hi Monica,Thank you for your willingness to share your story.  We know it's not an easy thing to do.  Unfortunately, at this time, we are limited to finding and helping cases in the U.S.There may be paranormal support groups in England where you can feel comfortable sharing your story and receiving support/advice from others who may have had similar experiences.

Thanks very much for your input jaguarsky!  You are right about the challenges.  We are very careful in selecting the appropriate therapists for this program.  They need to be specialized in treating all kinds of trauma and they need to have an open-minded approach in helping individuals with paranormal trauma without any bias.  Fortunately, we've found very good candidates who are willing to put their career on the line to participate b/c trauma is trauma and the after-effects from such trauma are real and serious.  We also have an extensive screening process to make sure the subjects are grounded, mentally stable people who experienced something extraordinary.

That is truly great to hear, Monica.  You're right... sometimes sharing your experiences with others is not only therapeutic for yourself but also for others.   Hence, that is one of the goals of our show... by featuring a few individuals' stories, we want to raise awareness to others who've been traumatized by a paranormal experience that they are not alone, that they're not crazy, that it's okay to get help, that they don't have to deal with their trauma by themselves.

when you say school, to me that implies young people,  that you have formed a club that too is great...up to a point....this is a subject that cannot for one minute be treated lightheartedly[i suppose you know that though}.  i would like to caution you on any youngster who may have some particularly disturbing experiences...because it does happen..and in that case i would enlist the help of a profressional in these matters, it is a widely known fact that teenagers and young people are especially susceptible with matters of the paranormal and are more likely to get FREAKED OUT, so it may be a good idea to have a councellor on hand just incase, even if you train up a sensible one yourself [with help] maybe just to listen and perhaps evaluate the situation, anyway its just a thought but well done
