SHADOW BEINGS

I don't know how many people can say their first memories as a child was of a paranormal experience...honestly i don't know if i would want anyone else to have their first memory be of a scary paranormal event. However that doesn't change the fact that mine was. My family an I moved around a lot when i was a child, we were not gypsyies and we were not military. Just an average american family trying to make it by. When i was nine months old my family moved from to Texas to Conneticut. When i was three years old my family moved into a house i can't remember, in a town i can't remember, and everything before this night in this house i cannot remember, yet my family can give you details upon details about it. I wouldn't know it then but this kind of memory lapse would haunt me all the days of my life an still some. So in the town an house i couldn't tell you much about except the details of this one frightening night that is carved in my memory came my first account of the dark an ugly.

My memory of this event begins like this: My room door was open a crack to let light in from the hall way so i would feel safe in the dark. The light hit my book case across the room in front of my crib. Along with my books were a few toys displayed on the top shelf in between the books. On the right hand side of the room was a bedroom window with a huge maple tree standing outside of it. Of course causing the creepy branch effect in the dark scene every horror movie known to date has had. However even as a child that scene never scared me not even as a child. i never saw claws coming at me or anything else. Honestly i loved the way it looked especially during storms. To me it always made me feel protected. Don't ask me why i couldn't tell you. I remember waking up because i heard the rain and the branches swaying an like i said i love a good storm. Even as a child. So i stood up in my crib at three years old and looked out my bedroom window enchanted by the scenes outside my window. When i heard a laughter an metal chains clinking. It startled me an when i looked at the wall where my book case sat i will never forget what i saw. A tiny shadow thing with a a typical looking viking helmet on had a huge thick metal chain over his shoulder that he kept yanking on because behind him was a HUGE and i mean HUGE Shadow figure that could only be described as a beast. When i turned and looked at them they turned stopped and literally turned their heads as if to look back at me. i saw no eyes just the turn of their head and the feeling of them looking dead at me. I don't remember how i got out of my crib at all. all i know is my next memory from that night is running a for my life down my hall to my kitchen where my daddy sat in the rocking chair at the the end of the hall. It had to be early in the morning by then because my father worked second shift at eb in ct which meant he didn't get home till three or sometimes four in the morning. I don't know if the next thing happened was my mind playing tricks on me or if the shadows did something to me to slow me down so they could get a way. but as i ran down the hall trying to reach my father i have a very clear memory of the hall way stretching farther and farther. It almost seemed impossible to reach my father. Then suddenly it stopped and he was right their and i leaped with all my might in into my fathers arms as he was taking off his work boots. To told everything i saw to my father in between gasps of breaths from the run. My mother would later tell me it didn't make sense why i was so out of breath since the hall way was only maybe fifteen feet long and i was an energenic child who ran everywhere. She thought then before i told her in better detail as an adult of my memory of the night, that i was out of breath from the run. After i told my father what had happened in my room he looked at my mother my mother looked at him and what slilently passed between them in that split second i would later find out as an adult, was a silent confirmation that i would have a childhood like theirs that they wished deeply would have passed over me. After the split second of recognition that past between them my father in one swift graceful move leaped up from the rocking chair threw me to my mothers arms and was down the hall way an into my room. I screamed after him not to go in their that the monsters would get him. He slammed the door behind him and began spirtual war on my behalf.

Boy, that was indeed a frightening experience, especially for a child! Did you continue to see apparitions after that? If so, do you still? You didn't mention your age now, but I figure you are pretty young yet. I have only twice seen spirits, one was evil and one was good. Tell us if you have had further experiences.

I am Twenty Four. And yes i did experience more paranormal events thru out my life. I had problems with sleep paralysis for a while, Night terrors. I saw my grandmother after she died, My mom wasn't able to make it to the funeral and was completely distraught on the couch and as i began to wake up i looked over to my mother crying on the couch and my grandmother was sitting on the arm rubbing my moms back. she turned smiled at me and in my head i heard her say she was ok and my mom didn't need to feel upset that she didnt make it. a year an one day later my moms dad died but i never saw him and i was really hoping i would. Oh by the way for anyone out their reading it would be great to hear ya'lls first paranormal experience.

I wonder if reincarnation fits into paranormal? If so mine was something that happened shortly after my birth. I was being held by a nurse as she was talking to my mother before handing me to her. Strangely I was able to clearly understand everything she said to her. This memory predates every other memory I have, and I have remembered it clearly for 58 years now. Even as a child it struck me as strange and unusual, and while I don't remember any details of another life, I clearly remember thinking it weird that the nurse was able to hold me and wondered why she was saying what she did as I could understand every word. (Don't bother asking what it was as it was of a personal matter I don't want to discuss) My next clear memory would date at least two years after this one. I always believed that if I was reborn whatever knowledge came with me faded out rather quickly as I had a normal childhood afterwards.

My first paranormal experience was seeing a demon, which was conjured up by my stepmother who was a witch in every sense of the word.
It was late evening, my sister and I just went to bed because we had school the next day, I was in high school, she was in junior high. A few
minutes after we settled in, something came up to the window and started pounding on our window, making ape-like noises. We were terrified. We went out in the hall to find our step-mom, found her hiding behind her bedroom door, apparently frightened by what she had conjured up. I caught sight of it's back as it ran away. She denied doing it.
My second experience came when my grandson was playing an electronic game in his living room, He was sitting in front of a coffee table. I was on the sofa right beside him. A blue light came into the room and settled itself across from my grandson. I glanced over to see the face of a boy, probably my grandson's age, watching intently and smiling as my grandson played his game, My grandson was unaware of his presence. That was cool.

I never did learn the identity of the little boy, although he had on a shirt like kids wear today, so he couldn't have died very long ago, But obviously before Gameboys and such. I was very sad that he had died so young. As for the beast that my stepmom conjured, we never saw it again (thank God). I think she scared herself with what she had conjured. She was my stepmom until my dad died in 2000 (the incident happened around 1970).

Well i'm glad you never had to see the beast again. It is a very sad thing when children die. Especailly when their spirit lingers. Wish it was the way religion portrays certain things. Like if your good and blah blah blah you go to heaven. What on earth could a child spirit do to not gain entrance to heaven. Some things just boggle my mind. Hopefully the spirit has been able to move on and go to a far better place.
